It is so nice to get positive feedback from KatieMosa customers. I was so delighted with these two that I got this morning that I decided to share them with you.This is from a client we met at the Christmas sale at Ascot Racecourse last week:

SO.....how did the Pop Up Shop go???As you all know, I recently opened up a 'pop up shop' in Chelsea, selling KatieMosa - Tweed with a Twist. Here is my write up for a magazine:I was asked to look after a friends shop on the New King's road for a week and in return she moved some of her jewellery range aside to make room for my textile gifts and homewares. To my surprise, her jewellery and my textiles sat very well together and the shop was transformed into a delightful present buying destination for one week. I had a wonderful time playing shop owner which I thoroughly enjoyed but I was not prepared to relish chatting with the customers as much as I did.Getting first hand feed back on my range, direct from the customers and being able to engage with them about my product was an invaluable experience and gave me a real confidence boost, which, as online retailers know, is not something we are used to.Despite being on a fairly quite part of the New King's road it was really busy for the first few days, as people seemed attracted to my sign outside the shop exclaiming that I had 'POPPED UP" and was only staying for one week.All in all I came away feeling that it was very much worth taking a week out at this busy time of year. I learnt that people LOVE a bargain (don't we all) but at the same time, people do have money to spend on friends and themselves, all be it a little less than last year and the year before, so be prepared to drop your prices a bit. After all, we may be in a recession, but birthdays are still happening and Christmas is still coming!Not only did I make more money in the shop than I did online that week, but I also had a complete change of scenery and met some lovely people and made a lot of new contacts for my business which was very satisfying. I'd say in this climate, when shop rental is so astronomically high, that the 'Pop up shop' is a fantastic and recession proof way of testing your product in todays market and getting your self and your business out there on the high street. I am already on the look out for my new pop up destination!

Hi guys, Katie here. We didn't get off to a very good start did we!? Having not posted on the KatieMosa blog for far too long now I have decided to give it another go and stick at it this time! I have been reliably informed that people really do read them and that there are many of you out there who are interested to know and hear about KatieMosa behind the scenes and my day to day journey to keep my little business growing. So here goes....Over the past year KatieMosa has gone from strength to strength. This summer gone (only just) saw the introduction of a new fabric range here at KatieMosa which has been received really well by all of our clients. I designed the fabric last winter, taking inspiration from British bird life. There are two bird designs printed onto a beautiful linen and cotton mix fabric which is natural in colour and slightly rustic looking, a prefect neutral colour palate for any house. The first design is a repeat print cluster of game birds. Game on, the name of the fabric, shows a pheasant, grouse and woodcock printed in a lovely green hue. These cushions work really well along side our best selling Green Fields tweed cushions. The second design depicts a cluster of British birds, perfect for the avid bird watcher and aptly named Twitchers Delight. This beautiful light blue print features a red backed shrike, goldfinch and bearded tit. Having designed the fabric, I went about designing a kitchen textile collection to best show it off. Tea towels, aprons, oven gloves, napkins, table mats, cushions and Aga toppers are all available to buy in our gorgeous fabric. Being slightly technophobic, this blog business is quite a thing for Tash and I, but we were hearing more and more about blogs, blogging and bloggers, so we thought that we'd give it a go!
